Abstract

The background of this research focuses on the doctrine of God as a fundamental part of Christian theology. Understanding who God is and His attributes is crucial for Christians in developing a closer relationship with Him. Therefore, this study aims to explore the understanding of the doctrine of God, His nature, and how this teaching can be applied in the daily lives of Christians. The problem formulation in this research includes three main aspects: first, the definition of the doctrine of God and the nature of God from the perspective of Christian theology; second, the attributes of God, which include eternality, omnipotence, omniscience, love, and justice, as well as the ultimate purpose of God according to Christian teachings; third, the concept of God's work, which encompasses creation, redemption, and preservation, along with its application in everyday life. Through the analysis of these aspects, the research aims to provide a deeper understanding of the doctrine of God and its impact on the lives of Christians. The conclusion of this research emphasizes that the doctrine of God reflects His character and provides guidance for Christians in their daily lives. The attributes of God direct believers to live in love and justice, while God's work in creation and preservation highlights the importance of social and environmental responsibility. The recommendations arising from this research include the need for theological deepening, the application of the doctrine of God in everyday practices, and an increased environmental awareness as a form of Christians' responsibility towards creation.
